In all honesty, I don’t understand the “woke” people, and quite honestly, I don’t see how they are making things any better.
At my old age, if I wake up each morning then that’s about as “woke” as I’m ever going to get.
As we roll along to Election Day with promises from both political sides about how they are going to make our lives much better, what I’ve come to realize (more than ever before) is that I’m the only person who can make my life better.
I’ve heard false promises my entire adult life and the truth is that they suck.
So, if you want to be “woke” or “progressive” or whatever they are calling it today – because let’s face it definitions change with mood of the moment – then have at it. You do you, and I will do me.
